The NCCareers and Career Development Plan (CDP) Training Course teaches Career Development Coordinators(CDCs) and Counselors how to use the NCcareers.org Career Development Plan Builder to create personalized career development plans. Participants learn how to guide students through self-assessments, explore careers that align with their interests and abilities, select education and training pathways, set short- and long-term career goals, and document their progress in using the Career Development Plan Builder. The training supports North Carolina's Career Development Plan requirements by providing a structured process for helping students make informed academic and career decisions while preparing for college, careers, and lifelong success. 

Whether you're a new or experienced FCCLA advisor, this session will prepare you for a successful year. Explore district expectations, chapter management strategies, competitive event updates, and key resources to strengthen your chapter. You'll also have opportunities to collaborate with fellow advisors, share best practices, and discover new ways to engage students through meaningful leadership and career development experiences.

Discover how an understanding of brain development can transform your instructional practice. Through the interactive Brain Architecture Game, participants will explore how experiences, relationships, and stress shape the developing brain and influence the executive functioning skills essential for learning and career readiness. Teachers will leave with a deeper understanding of student behavior and engagement, along with practical strategies for creating supportive learning environments, strengthening student resilience, and implementing classroom practices that promote academic success and workforce readiness.
